"I wish to give back to the community that has given so much to me."

I was born in Ireland and educated:
-Social Science UCC, Clonmel Campus 1970 – ’71
-Graduated Psychiatric Nurse in ’71
-Psychology, sociology, political science U of L, ‘72 - ’75.

Work, Personal and Experience:
-Commenced in Mental Health ’72.
-Married ’76; our children are independent.
-Worked 35 years; retired ’07 and in good health.

Active Community Stalwart:
-Was active in school, Scouts and Habitat and coordinated build of
four houses in 2000.
-Continue in church, politics and social advocacy – Social Housing, Affordable Housing, Friendship Society and Friends of Medicare;
-Organized and spoke against cuts and misinformation on costs and sustainability of public health care and on need to support Medicare. (Liberals support health, education and childcare).
-Discussed needs with community leaders and in ‘09 met with key Liberals in Ottawa re: issues and needs of Lethbridge area.

I Believe:
-Everyone deserves quality life, education, child and health care;
-A social conscience assists us progress and survive in our increasingly competitive world; and
-I have responsibility to do what is right and best to assist others.
